Born in France, I grow up abroad, in Italy and Canada. After a mountain accident immobillizes me for several months as a teenager, I write my first screenplay for a short film.<\/p>\n

I win a screenplay competition and shoot my first short film in 16 mm, at the age of sixteen. I start working on shooting sets as a trainee. Passionate about my work, I am quickly promoted to assistant director<\/strong>, then second unit director<\/strong>. In between major feature productions, I shoot three new short films, putting my professional experience to good use: THE ENEMY<\/strong><\/a>, MIDNIGHT<\/strong>, and N \u00b0 3<\/strong>. Each are selected in multiple international festivals and receive numerous awards .<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

These accomplishments get me noticed as a promising new director, and I am hired to direct my first television series. My debut is Gaumont\u2019s  MANATEA<\/strong><\/a>, a \u201cyouth adventure\u201d series entirely shot in French Polynesia, in Moorea and Tahiti.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

That\u2019s how I get to write and direct my first feature film: REQUIEM<\/strong><\/a>, a thriller starring Patrick Dell\u2019Isola<\/em> and Moussa Maaskri.<\/em> Released over a hundred screens in France then in 35 countries across the world, it is selected by the Sitges International Film Festival<\/strong>, the Brussels Fantastica Film Festival<\/strong> and the Mauvais Genre Film Festival<\/strong> in La R\u00e9union in various categories.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In between shooting TV shows, I develop my second feature film with French powerhouse producer Luc Besson\u2019<\/em>s EUROPACORP<\/strong> studio (producer of LUCY, TRANSPORTER, TAKEN, VALERIAN\u2026)<\/p>\n

COURSIER<\/a> <\/strong>(International title : PARIS EXPRESS<\/strong>) is a fast-paced action\/comedy on wheels starring Micha\u00ebl Youn<\/em> and G\u00e9raldine Nakache<\/em>. Released in 2010 in 300 cinemas in France<\/em>, the film is then distributed internationally in over 30 countries. It reaches N\u00b08 at the national box office the week of its release over three hundred screens in France, lands N\u00b06 at the national box office in China, and is selected at the Singapore Film Festival<\/strong> to represent France.<\/p>\n

I enter the international scene in 2011 for FRANCE T\u00c9L\u00c9VISIONS<\/strong> with the TV movie JACK OF DIAMONDS<\/strong><\/a> (ROUGE DIAMANT in France), a French-German-Canadian co-production uniting MUSE ENTERTAINMENT<\/strong> (USA\/Canada) with FRANCE 2<\/strong>, GAUMONT<\/strong>, the ZDF<\/strong> and the Canadian network SHOWCASE<\/strong>. Entirely shot in english, in Canada, this pilot brings together an international cast led by John Bregar<\/em> (US) and Jean-Yves Berteloot<\/em> (France). Popular in Germany and Canada, where it airs to high ratings, this show is selected at the 26th Canadian Gemini Awards<\/em> for \u201cbest writing in a dramatic television series\u201d.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

This success lands me a U.S. representation at PARADIGM <\/strong><\/a>in Los Angeles, where I work from 2012 to 2014, writing for television and cinema. Perfectly bilingual since my teenage years in Canada, I write directly in English, an essential skill to work in Hollywood\u2026 During these three years, I collaborate to the development of international projects with STUDIO CANAL<\/strong>, FUNDAMENTAL FILMS<\/strong>, VOLTAGE PICTURES<\/strong>, RADAR FILMS<\/strong>, SND<\/strong> and LION ROCK<\/strong>, the production company of legendary director John Woo<\/em>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In 2019, my episode “At the End of the Line”<\/strong> of the series L\u00c9O MATT\u00c9\u00cf was selected as the opening film of the LUCHON TELEVISION CREATIONS FESTIVAL<\/strong>. Following this success, I became the lead director of L\u00c9O MATT\u00c9\u00cf<\/strong> for TF1 from 2020 to 2023, directing all of seasons 7 and 8 and the season 10 finale: 15 episodes in total, all prime-time ratings leaders. For me, the ideal mise-en-sc\u00e8ne is one that combines entertainment and emotion, brilliant form and solid substance<\/strong>, without artifice.<\/p>\n

I find in all the filmmakers and directors who inspire me this powerful alliance of imagination and realism<\/strong>, within the subtle art of storytelling that is directing.<\/p>\n

I favor an approach to directing where emotion stems as much from the work on editing, music, image, and sound<\/strong> as from the directing of actors<\/strong>, which is equally essential.
